Which outcomes are actually established?
The 2019 investigation found abuse of at least 177 former students and failures to act on complaints. Ohio State’s timeline records additional settlements in February and April 2026.
Strauss died in 2005; these findings are not his criminal conviction. Settlements resolve specified claims and do not establish that all litigation is finished or every employee was responsible. The 177 figure belongs to the investigation, not a campus-wide prevalence rate.
