POLICIES & READER HELP

Support the mission.
Know what it means.

A clear distinction between interest, a public support note, a confirmed contribution and an agreed order.

Independent media, not a charity

Cornell Alleged is an independent media collective, not a charity. Donations support free reporting, documented investigations, source checking and a moderated reporting community, alongside the intended costs described below. We do not offer a charitable receipt or promise tax deductibility. Our goal is radical, lasting change and support for people affected across universities, beyond any single case. Anyone could be affected. Donations and disclosed sponsorships are our primary funding routes; merchandise is an additional way to help when those are not enough. Reporting and access to our news do not require a contribution. A moderated space cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality or safety; read our privacy limits before sharing.

Current availability

Bank-wire details and cryptocurrency instructions are communicated privately by email after the team reviews and confirms a request. This website does not receive, process, verify or transfer payments. BTC, SOL, ETH and USDT options start a human follow-up request. No receiving addresses are displayed here; the email instructions must identify the recipient, coin, network and address. Do not send money to an address supplied by an unverified account claiming to represent this site.

Donation, sponsorship and shop inquiries require an email for private human follow-up. No automatic email or transaction is initiated. A public contribution note is optional, consented and reviewed separately. A displayed pledge is not proof that funds were received.

Intended funding purposes

  • Victim legal support: qualified advice or representation for cases assessed as legally actionable.
  • Website legal expenses: advice, review and responding to issues affecting the project.
  • Site operations: hosting, bandwidth, secure storage, security, research, accessibility, human moderation and maintaining the archive.
  • Peaceful protest materials and public awareness: reviewed posters, stickers, billboard space and practical costs for responsible civic action. Accuracy, permissions and local requirements must be checked; no placement or campaign is confirmed.

These are intended purposes, not confirmed allocations or funds available. Eligibility, professional qualifications, budgets and any restrictions must be checked before funding is promised. We do not guarantee representation, reimbursement, prosecution or any outcome. Donations do not buy coverage or a publishing decision.

T-shirts and digital art

The collection offers only T-shirts at $60 USD and digital art at $30 USD, including “I am Jane Doe.” Prices are per item; shipping and applicable taxes are agreed separately. The AI images illustrate the collection’s spirit: they do not show the delivered product, which will be different. The “I am Jane Doe” image is a typography illustration. The actual design will be shown before payment. These are support purchases intended to help fund the project. Production, fulfilment, shipping and any applicable taxes have costs; remaining proceeds support the agreed mission purposes. No charitable tax deduction is promised. Before any order is agreed, the team would need to confirm the item, price and currency, production or digital format, delivery area and timing, shipping charges and applicable cancellation or refund arrangements in writing. Physical items may be made in small batches and take weeks or longer to arrive. An estimated production and delivery window must be confirmed before payment. Digital artwork is arranged through human email follow-up, with the file format, resolution and permitted use agreed first. Stock, completed orders and fulfilment dates are not confirmed by an inquiry.

No card payments are offered. Any future bank-wire or crypto instructions must specify the verified recipient and, for crypto, the coin and network. Do not assume the same address works across networks. There are no tax-deductibility or charitable-registration claims.

Sponsorship and independence

A company may inquire about a disclosed name placement on merchandise or the website. Acceptance, placement, wording, price and duration would need separate review and agreement. An inquiry does not confirm sponsorship.

Sponsors have no right to choose allegations, remove sourced reporting or approve editorial conclusions. Paid placements must be clearly labeled and kept distinct from news, testimonials and legal-support requests.

Quarterly financial transparency

Every three months we will publish the amount received and the expenses for that period. The first report will cover the first three months of fundraising. Reports will separate donations, sponsorships and shop receipts; show expense categories, including production and fulfilment; and state the balance carried forward. Only confirmed receipts and documented expenses will enter the totals. Inquiries and unverified pledges are not income. No financial totals or reports are claimed here before records establish them. Aggregate reporting will protect supporters and survivors; private contact details and sensitive case information will not be published.

A supporter decides whether a public note may appear, which display name to use and whether to show an amount. Private contact and follow-up stay out of the wall. Approved notes are labeled as unverified pledges unless a separate verified record establishes receipt; the current service does not make that verification.

Before accepting a contribution, the team must confirm the recipient, instructions and allocation terms by email. Editorial wall posts do not contribute to payment totals; consented contribution notes remain unverified until funds are independently confirmed.
