A dated reading guide to the limits of this case’s reviewed public record. Open questions are not accusations.
Uncertainty stays visible
These questions explain what the reviewed record can and cannot establish. Provide a dated source if a record needs updating.
DISPUTED CIVIL ALLEGATION
What does the complaint allege about Cornell’s role?
Paragraph 505 alleges shielding from law enforcement and silencing of victims. That allegation is not a court finding; Cornell’s institutional account belongs alongside it.
October 3–5 NYT/Sun reporting identifies individual university sanctions. The profiles preserve each reported outcome, relevant replies and the distinction from criminal guilt. The full disciplinary files were not independently obtained by this archive.
The governor’s 1 October appointment authorizes the Attorney General’s office to investigate and, if warranted, prosecute and present evidence to a grand jury. Investigation does not guarantee charges, conviction or an outcome.
Are parents or relatives shown to have intervened?
No family intervention record has been added to this edition. A relevant entry requires specific sourced conduct and verified identity; being related is not evidence of intervention.
Archive coverage note; no underlying family claim is being published.

REVIEW COMMITMENT / NO CONCLUSION DOCUMENTED
Has independent review produced a final finding?
The Sun reports the president backed outside review on October 3, with a reviewing firm to be announced the following week. The reviewed edition does not establish that appointment or completed findings.
Does every name correspond to a verified identity?
The Matthew Ingalls record carries a mistaken-identity warning from published reporting. A historical named Cornell Rugby roster photo is now shown with the Sun’s independent connection to the defendant. This does not identify the different same-name person; unverified unrelated biographies remain excluded.
Cornell’s explanation and the district attorney’s account differ. The October 2 Sun report describes FAQ revisions; this archive does not resolve the dispute from those edits.
The October 2 report announced October 5 and October 13 events. The reviewed sources do not confirm completion of the October 5 planned rally; October 13 remains upcoming. Today’s separately reported Day Hall damage does not establish that the planned rally occurred.
The Sun reports passage of three Assembly resolutions at the October 1 meeting and says they proceed to the president. The official Resolution 15 page still lists In Discussion when checked October 5. Passage, approval and implementation are separate stages.
