What is documented?

Dartmouth reported dismissal recommendations followed by Heatherton’s retirement and Whalen’s and Kelley’s resignations in 2018. In September 2019 it announced a signed $14 million settlement submitted for court approval.

Limits of the record

The announced settlement did not admit College liability. Personnel actions are not criminal verdicts. This selected historical dossier does not certify every later court order or whether all promised reforms were implemented.
